Its funny to think only 1 share writes the future of SGX. What other shares do u think wud perform better....blue chip, banking, reit, services, telco....
Need some one to comment on Chinese shares......Forbes Analayst forecasted :
China to BUY....India to sell.....
How about microchip stocks......heard that silicon tech is going to be replaced by plastic tech in preparation of chips n boards....so related ind r going to see success by 2008.....

S$1.50? Try S$2.50 :), if Melco is any indication to go by.
Melco was listed in the US in late 2006. The company (which is part-owned by James Packer, the late Kerry Packer's son) owns one of the two casino licenses issued in Macau in 2005 and is due to open its doors late this year.
I have read in a number of research reports by stockbroking analysts stating that Genting International has run too hard to fast...hmm I reserve judgement.
Melco has publicly stated it is budgeting to spend about US$3.5bn on its integrated resort in Macau. The company currently has a market capitalisation of US$8bn, based on yesterday's closing price. I am not
an analyst (a blessing in disguise). So, the market is the market.
At present, the market is saying that Melco is worth more than 2.0 times in value compared to the US$3.5bn it will have spent by the end of this year to complete the casino and resort. To be exact. Melco is trading on 2.3 times market captialisation to project cost ratio
Genting International is looking to spend US$3.2bn on it integrated resort (IR) in Singapore. On the same basis that investors value Melco at 2.3 times of project cost, this suggest Genting International's "operation in Singapore" could be valued at US$7.3bn (2.3 x US$3.2bn). That is roughly S$11.0bn (with a few dollars left for a nice cup of teh tarik at your local kopi tiam!). That is S$2.10 per share.
Add on another say $0.40ps (based on stockbrokers' consensus valuation) for Genting international gaming interest in pompom-land, you get to S$2.50. waalah!
Now back to those critics who say Genting has run too hard to fast.
Well, there are three kinds of people in the world, those who make things happen..... those who watch things happen ..... those who ask "what happened?"
You want to on the gravy-train, not in front of it!
